武汉科技大学冶金工程博士后流动站成立于2007年,以武汉科技大学冶金工程学科及省部共建耐火材料与冶金国家重点实验室、钢铁冶金及资源利用省部共建教育部重点实验室、湖北省钢铁冶金新工艺重点实验室、湖北省冶金二次资源工程技术研究中心等科研基地为依托。武汉科技大学冶金工程学科创建于1953年中南钢铁工业学校时的炼铁和炼钢专业(专科),1958年开始招收炼铁和炼钢专业本科生,1979年合并为钢铁冶金专业,1998年按冶金工程一级学科招生。2003年获得钢铁冶金二级学科博士点,2010年获冶金工程一级学科博士点。冶金工程学科是首批国家级一流本科专业建设点、国家级特色专业、湖北省重点学科、湖北省优势特色学科、湖北省“双一流”建设学科。
流动站现有教授21人,博士生导师21人,共招收博士后研究人员70名。流动站立足于冶金学科前沿,从冶金基础理论、冶金单元过程、冶金工艺流程等不同层次研究冶金生产的科学和工程问题,为冶金新技术、新工艺、新产品的开发及产品质量的提高、节能降耗和资源利用提供理论和实验依据。目前已形成了包括“冶金基因工程与智能制造”、“过程冶金理论与工艺”、“复杂多金属资源高效利用与二次资源增值冶金”和“特殊冶金工艺的开发与应用”、“金属基功能材料开发”等五个主要研究方向。
近年来,流动站承担国家重点研发计划、国家自然科学基金、湖北省自然科学基金、各类人才项目60余项,与宝武集团、华菱集团、柳钢集团等冶金企业建立了稳定的合作关系,开展产学研合作,提供科技咨询,举办科技讲座,联合培养研究生等,为行业和地方发展创造了显著经济效益和社会效益,先后获国家科技奖2项、省部级科技奖10余项。
流动站广泛开展国际合作与交流,已与美国、德国、奥地利、荷兰、瑞典、芬兰、俄罗斯、日本、澳大利亚及南非等十多个国家和地区的著名高校开展科研合作和学术交流,与德国弗莱贝格工业大学、奥地利莱奥本大学、澳大利亚迪肯大学联合培养博士、硕士研究生,促进学术水平和人才培养质量提升,扩大了国际知名度和影响力。
Wuhan University of Science and Technology Postdoctoral research center of metallurgical engineering
The research center for postdoctoral researcher of metallurgical engineering at Wuhan University of Science and Technology (WUST) was established in 2007, and is supported by the Department of Metallurgical Engineering, the State Key Laboratory of Refractories and Metallurgy and the Key Laboratory for Ferrous Metallurgy and Resources Utilization of Ministry of Education, Hubei Provincial Key Laboratory for New Processes of Ironmaking and Steelmaking, and Hubei Provincial Engineering Research Center of Metallurgical Secondary Resources at WUST. The discipline of the metallurgical engineering at WUST, based on the technical college of ironmaking and steelmaking of Central South School of Iron and Steel Industry, was founded in 1953, and began enrolling undergraduates for the two departments of ironmaking and steelmaking since 1958. These two departments were combined into the department of ferrous metallurgy in 1979, and began enrolling undergraduates and graduate students as the first-grade discipline from 1998. Doctoral degree programs of ferrous metallurgy as well as metallurgical engineering were established in 2003 and 2010, respectively. The discipline of metallurgical engineering at WUST was awarded as the first batch of national first-class undergraduate professional construction site, national level characteristic discipline, the innovation discipline with outstanding achievements and the key discipline by Hubei province. Now, it also becomes the “Double First-Class” discipline of Hubei province.
The postdoctoral research center of metallurgical engineering currently has 21 professors and 21 doctoral supervisors, and has enrolled 70 postdoctoral researchers. It faces towards the cutting-edge of metallurgical engineering, and figures out the scientific and engineering issues of steel manufacture from different levels such as the fundamental theory of metallurgy, unit process in metallurgy and technological process of metallurgy. The research findings can provide theoretical and experimental solutions for the developing of the advanced techniques, processes and products of the ferrous metallurgy. The research work could also promote the quality improving, the energy saving and the resources recycling. The main research interests include the metallurgical genetic engineering and intelligent manufacturing, the theory and technology of process metallurgy, the efficient utilization of complicated poly-metallic resource and value-added metallurgy of secondary resource, the development and application of the technology of special metallurgy, and the development of metal-based functional material.
In recent years, the postdoctoral research center of metallurgical engineering at WUST has undertaken more than 60 national and provincial projects such as the national key research and development plan, the national natural science foundation, and various talent projects. Besides, a stable cooperative relationship has been established with many metallurgical enterprises such as Baowu, Hunan Valin Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd and Liuzhou Steel Group. The scientific and technological consulting service, technology seminar, and joint-supervision of graduate student have been provided by the staffs of metallurgical engineering at WUST to the cooperative enterprises. These actives create significant economic and social benefits for the government. It has owned 2 state-level and more than 10 provincial and ministerial-level awards.
The postdoctoral research center of metallurgical engineering at WUST has extensively carried out international cooperation and exchanges, and has conducted scientific research cooperation and academic exchanges with well-known universities in more than ten countries and regions such as the United States, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Japan, Australia, and South Africa. It has jointly trained doctoral and master's students with Freiberg University of Technology in Germany, Leoben University in Austria, and Deakin University in Australia, promoting the improvement of academic level and talent cultivation quality, and increase international visibility and influence.
